It is time for the bi-annual election of MRPA Executive Officers.

Officers to be elected for a two year term beginning July 1, 2017 are:

  • President
  • President Elect
  • Vice-President
  • Treasurer
  • Assistant Treasurer and Secretary.

Nominations for six Community partners to serve on the Board of Directors will also be accepted and placed on the ballot.

Any Resource Parent Approved and Licensed in Maryland by their local DSS and willing to perform the responsibilities of the office they are seeking, may place their name as a nominee for that office, along with completed Nomination Application containing information on whatever qualifications they have for the office.

The President of each local Resource Parent Association or his /her designee will cast one vote for their Association.

There are two exceptions for Association voting. The Lower Eastern Shore Resource Association INC. which represents three counties will cast three votes.

Second is Baltimore City which because of the large number of Resource Parents will cast two votes.

Voting Schedule

May 8, 2017 will be the deadline for submitting Nominations at COB.

May 18, 2017 List of Nominees will be posted on website www.mrpa.org.

Voting will be done by electronic ballot June 12, 2017 will be last day to cast your ballot at COB.

Ballots will be tallied by independent panel, Cindy Everly and Debbie Roberts, and the results presented to the Executive Committee at June, 2017 meeting.
